En esta obra de Elkin Emilio Villegas Mesa es su aproximación a la empresa, otro campo de utilización de la psicohigiene de Bleger. De este modo, considero que al autor le interesa mostrar cómo el sentimiento de culpa puede incidir de manera trágica en un grupo empresarial, como una especie de neurosis de destino colectivo, en el interjuego de las relaciones intersubjetivas, en el seno de una organización empresarial, en la relación misma de la estructura institucional, en la singularidad subjetiva y en el malestar de nuestra cultura, una vez se desencadena la cascada de acciones antiéticas, sentimientos de culpa, necesidad de castigo y compulsión al fracaso. Este proceso es ilustrado por el autor con lujo de detalles, seriamente pensados, a la luz de las teorías de la psicología social, el psicoanálisis y la filosofía.
