He married 1904 in Des Moines Ellen Theresia Larson (1880-1975). She was born in Floby parish, Skaraborg co., Sweden to Johan Larsson and Charlotta Andersdotter. She immigrated to Madrid, Boone Co., Iowa from Fåglavik, Hudene parish, Älvsborg co., Sweden on October 26, 1900. The Dahl/Dahlberg genealogy includes various parishes in Kristianstad county and the Larson genealogy includes various parished in Älvsborg county, Sweden.
