Genealogy of the Stukey, Ream, Grove, Clem, and Denniston Families
John Stukey (1710-1786) came to Pennsylvania from Switzerland in 1736 and settled in Lancater County. He was born between Thun and Berne in the canton of Berne. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and elsewhere. Hans Andreas Riem (1642-1719) was born in Leimen, Germany. His descendants Johann Eberhard Ream (1687-1779) was born in Leiman, Germany. He married Anna Elisabeth Schwab (1692-1761). They immigrated to Pennsylvania ca. 1717-1718. Johann Davidt Clem or Klemm immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1747 and later settled in Powell's Fort Valley, Virginia. He died n 1789. Christian Grove (died 1786) married (1) Ann Rodes and (2) Esther Musselman and lived in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Includes family of his brother, Marks Grove (died 1808). John Denniston (died 1853) was born in Pennsylvania. He lived in New Bethlehem and married Mary Millison (1809-1868). Some of his family then settled in Missouri. Also includes the family of Heinrich and Barbara Lerch Leinbach who lived in Langenselbold, Prussia, Germany.
Koffroth Family History
Gerhart Koffroth was born 30 May 1707 in Kaffroth, Germany. He left for America in 1731. In 1735, he married Maria Barbara Beck (1718-1761). He died 18 February 1796 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Permission granted 27 Jul 2000, Contract #7300-041682. IGP.

Ancestors and Descendants of Frederick Shore
Friedrich Schor (1705-1773), son of Friedrich Schorr and Usula Tschudin, married Margaretha Schneider in 1729, and in 1750 the family immigrated from Switzerland to Philadelphia (Margaretha died at sea). Frederick Shore (as his name was anglicized) and his children settled on land in Augusta County, Virginia, moving later to Surry County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas and elsewhere.
The Bonds of Union: Descendants of Thomas Clarkston (1787-1858)
George Middleton Clarkston (d.1787), son of Scotch-Irish immigrant James Clarkston, moved from Virginia to Tennessee. His son, Thomas Clarkston (1787-1858), married three times and lived in Lee County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Calif- ornia, Washington and elsewhere.
