Land of Our Father; Land of Ours is written by co-authors, Erma (Britton) Moore and Rita (Moore) King, this heart written non-fiction story is told by a mother and daughter who bring to paper a life adventure story of five generations. The main characters are George and Bertha (Clark) Britton who from the beginning of their adult life invite Jesus Christ into their hearts and make a commitment to God that carries them throughout their entire life. From the farms of Kentucky, to homesteading in Kelvington, Saskatchewan, Canada, to the rural farmlands of Indiana, all along the way the Brittons never cease to give praise to their Heavenly Father. Land of Our Father; Land of Ours offers more than genealogy, it tells the story of life, from early pioneer families, World Wars, The Great Depression to our "Bright Hopes for Tomorrow".

Trayvon Martin, Race, and “American Justice”: Writing Wrong is the first comprehensive text to analyze not only the killing of Trayvon Martin, but the implications of this event for the state of race in the United States. Bringing together contributions from a variety of disciplines and approaches, this text pushes readers to answer the question: “In the wake of the killing of Trayvon Martin, and the acquittal of his killer, how post-racial can we claim to be?” This collection of short and powerful chapters is at times angering and at times hopeful, but always thought provoking, critical, and poignant. This interdisciplinary volume is well suited for undergraduate and graduate studen...

"The Cullman Democrat was established about 25 years after the first newspaper to publish in the town named for the famous German settler, John G. Cullman. While it came relatively late on the scene, its circulation soon grew to match that of the most successful Alabama weekly newspapers. The Democrat was first published by Major W.F. Palmer in June of 1901. Palmer sold the paper to R.L. and J.E. Griffin in 1902, but by the end of January of 1903, the paper was purchased by Joseph Robert Rosson. The Democrat remained in control of the Rosson family for man years after."--Publisher's description
