Each profile contains a list of band members, discographies complete with recommendations, interesting facts, and a biography. The book is printed in black and white and the primary emphasis is on information - this is an encyclopedia, not a coffee table book.Many of the photos are from the collection of David Plastik, a legendary photographer who took pictures of artists in the 80s spanning various genres. Other photos come from Troy Wells, a die-hard fan who took many great amateur photos in the era, and Jo Anna Jackson, a professional Vegas-based photographer.

Leopoldo Cirne
Para melhor compreensão do leitor, analisa-se o contexto social, político e religioso do Brasil no final do século XIX e primeiras décadas do século XX, com base em obras de pesquisadora acadêmica. Isso para se compreender o cenário em que Leopoldo Cirne tornou-se espírita, iniciou suas ações na FEB e atuou como presidente da instituição. Muitas polêmicas e algumas visões doutrinárias têm muita relação com o contexto citado. O fato é que durante a gestão de Leopoldo Cirne. sempre eivada de propostas inovadoras e com dinamismo, a FEB se consolidou como organização federativa e na sua estrutura física. Cirne assumiu a Presidência da FEB em substituição a Bezerra de Menezes, a partir de abril de 1900. Em virtude de disputas internas, não foi reeleito em 1914 e afastou-se da FEB. Na nova etapa de sua vida, manteve-se em atividades com algumas palestras em centros da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, redações de artigos e de livros e intercâmbios epistolares. Sempre preocupado com os meios "mais propícios ao desenvolvimento das faculdades espirituais, latentes no homem".
