"During the past decade, the first, second and 3rd editions of the NMS Review for USMLE Step 2 have served as important adjuncts for students preparing to take the USMLE Step 2 Examination. This the 4th edition of NMS Review for USMLE Step 2 CK reflects the fact that it only relates to the CK (clinical knowledge) component of the current two-part Step 2 Examination. In providing this knowledge, it continues the traditions of relevance and excellence established by the previous editions"--Provided by publisher.
This fully revised Second Edition offers a complete review for the USMLE Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) exam. It covers all diseases encountered on the exam and prepares students to interact with patients, take a good medical history, perform a focused physical examination, develop a workup plan, and write an organized patient note. Numerous sample cases and patient notes are included. This edition has new chapters on ethics in primary care; Step 2 cases and medical notes; and trauma medical notes. A new chapter format and design highlights essential information: chief complaint, questions to ask, key points, and workup plan.
This new book in the popular NMS Series provides practical guidance for the foreign medical graduate to orient and prepare for the Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA) Examination. Graduates are taught how to practice effectively in a clinical setting, transmit medical information to the patient, chart documentation, and evaluate/assess a patient's medical condition. Topics covered include medical terminology, composition and formatting of notes, and clinical correlation to differential diagnosis and laboratory work up plans. US rules for foreign doctors are covered, and on-line sources are also provided. Several tables and diagrams support the text.

The papers assembled in this volume were originally presented at the joint meeting of the Phytochemical Society of North America and the Mid-Atlantic Plant Molecular Biology Society, in August 2000. The symposium from which these chapters were prepared was entitled "Regulation of Phytochemicals by Molecular Techniques" and was organised by James Saunders and Ben Matthews. This joint meeting was timely because of recent landmark advances in molecular biology and genomics as well as the renewed interest in phytochemistry as a rich source of nutraceuticals, drugs, and alternatives to synthetic agriculture pesticides. Progress in genome sequencing in plants such as Arabidopsis and rice has been ...
