Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications ENUMATH 2017
This book collects many of the presented papers, as plenary presentations, mini-symposia invited presentations, or contributed talks, from the European Conference on Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications (ENUMATH) 2017. The conference was organized by the University of Bergen, Norway from September 25 to 29, 2017. Leading experts in the field presented the latest results and ideas in the designing, implementation, and analysis of numerical algorithms as well as their applications to relevant, societal problems. ENUMATH is a series of conferences held every two years to provide a forum for discussing basic aspects and new trends in numerical mathematics and scientific and industrial applications. These discussions are upheld at the highest level of international expertise. The first ENUMATH conference was held in Paris in 1995 with successive conferences being held at various locations across Europe, including Heidelberg (1997), Jyvaskyla (1999), lschia Porto (2001), Prague (2003), Santiago de Compostela (2005), Graz (2007), Uppsala (2009), Leicester (2011), Lausanne (2013), and Ankara (2015).

This book gathers outstanding papers presented at the European Conference on Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications (ENUMATH 2019). The conference was organized by Delft University of Technology and was held in Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands, from September 30 to October 4, 2019. Leading experts in the field presented the latest results and ideas regarding the design, implementation and analysis of numerical algorithms, as well as their applications to relevant societal problems. ENUMATH is a series of conferences held every two years to provide a forum for discussing basic aspects and new trends in numerical mathematics and scientific and industrial applications, all examined at the highest level of international expertise. Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications 2011
The European Conferences on Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications (ENUMATH) are a series of conferences held every two years to provide a forum for discussion of new trends in numerical mathematics and challenging scientific and industrial applications at the highest level of international expertise. ENUMATH 2011 was hosted by the University of Leicester (UK) from the 5th to 9th September 2011. This proceedings volume contains more than 90 papers by speakers of the conference and gives an overview of recent developments in scientific computing, numerical analysis, and practical use of modern numerical techniques and algorithms in various applications. New results on finite element methods, multiscale methods, numerical linear algebra, and finite difference schemes are presented. A range of applications include computational problems from fluid dynamics, materials, image processing, and molecular dynamics.
Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical-Chemical Processes in Porous Media
The book comprises an assembly of benchmarks and examples for porous media mechanics collected over the last twenty years. Analysis of thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical (THMC) processes is essential to many applications in environmental engineering, such as geological waste deposition, geothermal energy utilisation, carbon capture and storage, water resources management, hydrology, even climate chance. In order to assess the feasibility as well as the safety of geotechnical applications, process-based modelling is the only tool to put numbers, i.e. to quantify future scenarios. This charges a huge responsibility concerning the reliability of computational tools. Benchmarking is an appropriate methodology to verify the quality of modelling tools based on best practices. Moreover, benchmarking and code comparison foster community efforts. The benchmark book is part of the OpenGeoSys initiative - an open source project to share knowledge and experience in environmental analysis and scientific computation.

The Spectacle of the Body in Late Medieval England
The volume The Spectacle of the Body in Late Medieval England represents a study on the human body representation in medieval England by approaching the concept of the spectacle as a space of manifestation. The author clarifies the ways of understanding the body as a physical and metaphorical reality, but also the medieval conceptualization of violence. On top of that, the author is making an investigation on the violent character of spectacles' representation in pursuit of picturing this subject more clearly and more relevant. The approach of the volume is dominantly Christian reviewing the representations of the body through outstanding figures of Christianity (crucifixion of Jesus Christ, body of Virgin Mary).
Top t Buzau: Festivalul Rezistentei rock
Volumul top t – festivalul rezistenței rock (re)aduce în discuție istoria celui mai important festival rock al României. Apărut în seria STRATONE, cu Nelu Stratone coordonator, volumul beneficiază de un cuvânt introductiv semnat de Gabi Gomboș plus o potfață de Florin-Silviu Ursulescu, doi grei ai istoriei rockului românesc și prieteni ai festivalului. Structura este una cumva istoricizantă: un palmares al edițiilor, un amplu interiviu cu Cornel Constantinescu, Tolea Poștovei și Florin Artene, trei dintre artizanii organizatori, un capitol dedicat scenei rock buzoiene, impresii ale participanților la festival, interviuri realizate de-a lungul timpului în caietele program. Veți regăsi și multe fotografii din edițiile top t. Cartea-document este și o pledoarie pentru revenirea festivalului în circuitul național, editura Casa de pariuri literare propunând în noiembrie 2016, la târgul Gaudeamus, un stand personalizat al festivalului.
