Asistimos en la actualidad a un resurgir del trabajo en medio abierto que responde a las dificultades de inclusión social que afectan a sectores cada vez más amplios de población. Este libro trata sobre el medio abierto y la acción socioeducativa en él, combinando la reflexión y la conceptualización con la propuesta de pautas y recursos, y haciendo especial incidencia en la intervención de educadores y educadoras en la calle, en el ámbito de la atención primaria. En la segunda parte, este tipo de trabajo educativo y social se enmarca en la acción comunitaria, ya que la corresponsabilidad de la comunidad garantiza que se aborde con mayor éxito un modelo de intervención que es compleja y que requiere de la implicación y colaboración de agentes diversos.
