One of the most important and challenging problems in control is the derivation of systematic tools for the computation of controllers for constrained nonlinear systems that can guarantee closed-loop stability, feasibility, and optimality with respect to some performance index. This book focuses on the efficient and systematic computation of closed-form optimal controllers for the powerful class of fast-sampled constrained piecewise affine systems. Under annen verdenskrig tjenestegjorde flere tusen nordmenn i ulike utenlandske militæravdelinger og organisasjoner. Mer enn 1400 ble drept i strid eller døde i forbindelse med tjenesten. Mange av de falne finnes det få opplysninger om i den norske krigshistorien. De døde for Norge er den første samlende fremstillingen av nordmenn som falt i alliert krigstjeneste. Boka er viet ofrene og er skrevet for å gi oppmerksomhet til dem som kjempet militært for de allierte, og betalte den høyeste prisen.
