This book chronicles the history of The Sun, a New York newspaper published from 1833 until 1950. It was considered a serious paper, like the city's two more successful broadsheets, The New York Times and the New York Herald Tribune.
This volume concentrates on the history of the acclaimed `New York Herald-Tribune' (1924 - 1966) and its two forerunners - the `New York Herald' (1835 - 1924) and the `New York Tribune' (1841 - 1924), and the Pulitzer Prizes won by them. In addition, a look is also given to the `International Herald-Tribune', the newspaper's European Edition, published in Paris.
