Al-Andalus y su herencia
Sobre al-Andalus y su significado en la historia de la península ibérica se han planteado desde antiguo visiones encontradas que van desde la idealización delirante hasta la negación absoluta. Este libro trata de localizar los principales parámetros de la civilización de al-Andalus como jalón de las culturas del Mediterráneo mediante el análisis de las principales etapas históricas de la formación social andalusí, desde la conquista y el Emirato Dependiente hasta la expulsión de los moriscos en los años 1609 y 1610. Se ocupa también de sus estructuras: la administración del país, la economía y la sociedad, trazando una aproximación a sus grupos y clases sociales y los valores culturales, para dibujar finalmente una breve panorámica sobre la cultura de al-Andalus y sus principales hitos con la herencia que la civilización andalusí legó a España y a la Europa del Renacimiento.
