Gemma Ziegler is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. In 2014, after the death of her husband of thirty-five-years, K. Vincent Ziegler, MD, she moved to their farm on the Chaplain River in Cornishville, Kentucky. The first winter after she moved, a winter ice storm hit Cornishville. Gemma was stranded for almost two weeks, which provided her with plenty of time without interruptions to get a good start on her first book, Ruby Rose. She currently is working on a sequel, Hannah Rose.
