The Downs Family of Virginia, Ohio & Indiana
John Downs (ca. 1745-1805) served in the Revolutionary War. About 1799, the family migrated from Virginia to Chillicothe, Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived also in Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, New Jersey, Minnesota, California and elsewhere.
