Joseph William Heinz was born 15 February 1881 in Wisconsin. He was the son of Karl Heinz and Maria Franziska who both immigrated to America from Austria and settled in Pierce Co., Wisconsin. Joseph married Anna Brickner 22 June 1909. Anna died 12 June 1912 and Joseph married Catherine Kirch 28 April 1914 in Wisconsin. They moved from Wisconsin ca. 1917 and settled in Anaheim, California. Joseph was the father of sixteen known children. Descendants lived primarily in California and Illinois.
