They talked about the difficulties they faced settling in a new country, finding work and accommodation in Slough, the music they listened to and played, dances, excursions to the seaside, religion and faith. It was an opportunity to look back on their lives and reflect on their contributions to the community. These testimonies have now been recorded so their stories can be told and future generations can learn about their experiences.
