Can Art Aid in Resolving Conflicts?
A pioneering survey of leading and emerging global artists, curators and art practitioners on the question: can art aid in conflict resolution and therefore reduce global tensions and human suffering? Throughout the centuries, art has documented the atrocities of wars, participated in propaganda campaigns, and served as an advocate for peace and social justice around the world. The aim of this project is to explore how art can assist in creating dialogue and bridges across cultures and opposing groups. Over 100 leading and emerging architects, artists, curators, choreographers, composers, and directors of art institutions around the globe explore the potentially constructive role of the arts in conflict resolution. A summarizing chapter maps out the diverse positions and examines the variety of themes and approaches that were brought up.

Focus on Veronica Botticelli e Khen Shish
I lavori di Botticelli e Shish, benché abbiano alcune affinità, seguono due percorsi antitetici, presentando, ciascuna a suo modo, una affascinante miscela di emozioni contraddittorie, senza mai contestualizzare la loro narrativa in un luogo e tempo preciso. È una pittura densa di emozioni, dal carattere fortemente gestuale, capace di impressionare lo spettatore e sfidarlo intellettualmente, pur mantenendo un linguaggio visivo universalmente comprensibile. Botticelli's and Shish's works are on two antithetic paths, each presenting in her own way, a fascinating mixture of contradictory emotions, in narratives that never contextualize them in a precise time or place. Here is painting dense with emotion, with strong gestural characteristics, capable of making an impression on the spectator and challenging him or her intellectually, though it maintains a universally understood visual language.
Cultural Mobilities Between China and Italy
This book offers a critical analysis of global mobilities across China and Italy in history. In three periods in the twentieth century, new patterns of physical mobilities and cultural contact were established between the two countries which were either novel at the time of their emergence or impactful on subsequent periods. The first two chapters provide overviews of writings by Italians in China and by Chinese in Italy in the twentieth century. The remaining chapters cover: Republican China’s relationships with Italy and Italian Fascist colonialism in China during the 1920s–1930s; Italian travelers to China during the Cold War from the 1950s to the 1970s; migrations between China and Italy during the 2000s–2010s. In analyzing these cultural mobilities, this book opens a new line of inquiry in Chinese-Italian Cultural Studies, which has been dominated by historical study, and contributes a significant case study to the scholarship on global cultural mobilities.

On the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel, Israeli artist Beverly Barkat (born 1966) presents her site-specific work, After the Tribes, at the Museo Boncompagni Ludovisi in Rome. The work is made up of a four-meter-high metal tower divided into twelve painted panels that represent the twelve tribes of Israel.
