What You'd Buy Me?

What You'd Buy Me?

This book consists of fifty-two poems, aphorisms, essays, and presentations from a Catholic Renewal. Here you'll find one man's thoughts, perhaps representing others. Writing serves as a form of renewal. We share our humanity and spirituality. We become friends. Poetry succinctly expresses ideas instantiated into a form. In few words a snapshot appears, like waving a Polaroid Instant in the air and watching the image materialize. If pressed for time, read poetry. Arriving home, my son would ask, "What You'd Buy Me?" Every commercial exacted, "I need this"-not "I want this", but an existential necessity. Children grow up, ending their play-all-day phase. They leave us with a lot of memories. Life's experiences weave through these works, but "What you'd buy me?" still makes me laugh. Although a bit childish, deep down we continue to hope someone bought us a gift. I also hope that you enjoy my work.

A Christian understanding serves as a flashlight in a cave: You can see more. The attributes of Christ - truth, beauty, and goodness - shine forever and keep verses alive. That's why poems live on. Songs continue to occupy my mind. I view most songs as poetry set to music. I greatly admire people who write poems and songs. Some create both lyrics and music like embroidery, and their works greatly affect others. I desired m...

The War for Minds

1. Lucifer is liberal, big-hearted, a friend of man, a defender of liberty, and an outstanding executive about a hundred times smarter than us. He offers additional power, extra money, a heightened sense of importance, and the thrill of doing what others refuse to. He is a smashing success, and he is changing the world. We ain't seen nothing yet! His goal reads as death to all Christians. As a wolf in sheep's clothing, he disguises himself in high-sounding sophistry to hide his actual intent. He backs multiculturalism to gain division and lack of trust, scientific theories to bankrupt economies, equal rights for unfair advantages causing the productive to no longer care about their work, dem...

College Math for Children

College Math for Children explains the building blocks used in mathematics and demonstrates how from the concept of a point we can map it, define a slope, and soon understand a derivative in calculus. This book explains the key understandings that lead to a grasp of algebra, calculus, number theory, computers, and many other fields. I base all explanations on something that children know.

Two Lessons of Jesus

A child searches for his dad and finds him. He learns his father is God. He lives in his father's house for now, and forever. This is what Jesus taught. His second lesson, a corollary, assures us of forgiveness. If your religion contains things you don't understand or don't seem quite right, you may be correct. These may come from man. Jesus never said that. Yes, man is evil. Yes, this planet is screwed up. But God is good, sovereign, and working out his plan to get us back on track. God will succeed, guaranteed. To get on board, we need to embrace the Two Lessons that Jesus taught us. Everything we've ever learned in our church must be tested against these two great lessons. If it fails, it may have the fingerprints of man smudging up the mirror of God. Warning: These Two Lessons can change your view. These Two Lessons can change you.

The killing of Hitler: a failure. "Here I stand fighting my own people. I may end up killing my own students. I stepped into the Nazi's path of destruction and must follow that decision to the end. I must get to the leaders and kill them in order to save our existing civilization forged by patriots and true heroes." (Chapter 2, The Wood Factory, p18) A gentle teacher in a small village, seemingly isolated from the rise of Nazi Germany, finds himself thrown into the fray-against his own country. In The Tree Walker, My Life as a Nazi, I tell my story: with two assassination attempts on Hitler, advising the Führer on war strategy, the killing of generals, serving on the Russian Front, working ...
