Connection_Export Barcelona.
The Connection_ project aims to create a network of cultural connections between cities as a means of spreading the values of urbanism and architecture. A series of architecture exhibitions are the focus of this project, which also offers other events such as conferences and meetings between universities; intended to create synergies between the professional architects involved. Barcelona has become a brand recognized worldwide, of which more disciplines have contributed to the recognition of the city popping architecture and urbanism. One of the main elements of the “Barcelona Model” is the quality of residential buildings. Currently a younger generation of architects has been able to address the issue of new housing programs responding to the new social demands and urban areas.
Precedented Environmental Futures
This book addresses the built environment through the lens of environmental architecture, and in a holistic manner. It moves gradually from psychophysiology and thinking-doing-feeling modalities, through environmental criteria to environmental modulation, concluding with a debate around mitigation and adaptation. Much use is made of re-interpreting past quotations seen as relevant for environmental architecture. No definitive conclusions are reached, but rather broad discursive messages are offered. The text will have lasting luminance for new generations involved with the built environment.

Film, Architecture and Spatial Imagination
Films use architecture as visual shorthand to tell viewers everything they need to know about the characters in a short amount of time. Illustrated by a diverse range of films from different eras and cultures, this book investigates the reciprocity between film and architecture. Using a phenomenological approach, it describes how we, the viewers, can learn how to read architecture and design in film in order to see the many inherent messages. Architecture’s representational capacity contributes to the plausibility or 'reality' possible in film. The book provides an ontological understanding that clarifies and stabilizes the reciprocity of the actual world and a filmic world of illusion and human imagination, thereby shedding light on both film and architecture.

The unresolved limits of the post-capitalist city give rise to interventions in the city and the contemporary landscape in which the planner has to rely on a knowledge of other fields. The inevitable multidisciplinary activity at these frontiers has been an object of study during recent decades. This book brings together these reflections and some of their achievements in projects whose common denominator is their condition of marginality, of contiguity with prior structures with which they try to establish connections and continuities. The four parts into which the book is divided make reference to projectural policies conditioned by work on the boundaries of the pre-existing and to the interpretation of their settings: stretches of water, infrastructures, cultural and artificial natures. Analysed here are border zones, edges, frontiers and fringes of the contemporary city with itself, with nature, and with the boundaries between the natural and the colonised landscape.
