Darin geht es neben der medizinischen Versorgung von über 100 männlichen und weiblichen Besatzungsangehörigen aller Herren Länder u.a. um die Naturwissenschaften wie Geophysik, Meereskunde (Ozeanographie), Glaziologie, Biologie, Meteorologie und Astronomie sowie um die KLIMATOLOGIE, aber auch um Seemannschaft und lustige Polar- und Äquatortaufe.
