This book constitutes the refereed conference proceedings of the 28th International Conference on Industrial, Engineering and Other Applications of Applied Intelligent Systems, IEA/AIE 2015, held in Seoul, South Korea, in June 2015. The 73 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 105 submissions. The papers cover a wide range of topics in applied artificial intelligence including reasoning, robotics, cognitive modeling, machine learning, pattern recognition, optimization, text mining, social network analysis, and evolutionary algorithms. They are organized in the following topical sections: theoretical AI, knowledge-based systems, optimization, Web and social networks, machine learning, classification, unsupervised learning, vision, image and text processing, and intelligent systems applications.
Taking a critical approach to the concept of ‘religious pluralism’, this book examines the dynamics of religious co-existence in Asia as they are directly addressed by governments, or indirectly managed by groups and individuals. It looks at the quality of relations that emerge in encounters among people of different religious traditions or among people who hold different visions within the same tradition. Chapters focus in particular on the places of everyday religious diversity in Asian societies in order to explore how religious groups have confronted new situations of religious diversity. The book goes on to explore the conditions under which active religious pluralism emerges (or not) from material contexts of diversity.
The proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Health, Technology, and Life Science (ICO-HELICS 2022) shared ideas, pre-clinical and clinical research results, and literature review, on various aspects of medical science including heart disease, stroke, cancers, vaccines, infections, immunological disease, reproductive health, pharmacology and other health diseases. The proceedings aim to deliver new insights to the knowledge and practice of health workers and equip them in providing the best quality health care and clinical outcomes. As the idea of advanced clinical research originated from basic or fundamental research, it explores the life processes that are universal in their application to scientific knowledge. Therefore, these proceedings will also be of interest to academics, practitioners, health workers, and professionals involved in medical research.
