The ancestors of Timothy Hogan can be traced from Greene County, Tennessee before the Civil War to Haddon Hall in Derbyshire, England where his ancestors were Lords and Ladies of ancient England and Wales. Many lines go back to the ancient leaders of Wales including Rhys aps Griffith and to the Merovingian Kings and Queens of Normandy, France. Timothy's Swedish line, which came to Iowa in the USA, came directly from Sweden where they can be traced back to the sea kings of Uppsala, Sweden in about 500 AD. Continuing back some of his European ancestors, they can be traced to Seleucus Nicator in ancient Syria, the father of Helen of Troy. It is easy to imagine that some of the members of the Hogan Family retained the ambition and traits of their ancient ancestors. Many of his forefathers in Colonial America were Freemasons and instrumental in forming the burgeoning American Nation. The Lauder Family in America
Adam Lauder (1787-1870) married Jannet Davidson and immigrated about 1846/1847 from Scotland to Duanesburg, Schenectady County, New York. John Lauder (1820-1891) was their third son, and married three times. Descendants lived in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and elsewhere.

Over 75 generations of ancestors traveled from the wilds of ancient Wales, England, Scotland, Normandy and Germany to the high hillbilly country of Greene Co., Tennessee and Kentucky. Tim's ancestry includes people of several religions; Quaker, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Lutheran and Druid. The people ranged from common folk tilling the soil to Knights, Kings and Queens of Sweden, Scotland, England, Wales and Normandy, many of whom were Freemasons in the early years of the American Nation. One of his ancestors was Robert Burns, the national poet of Scotland. Tim's Warren Freemason ancestors played an integral part in the making of a new nation in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania during the American Revolutionary War. One ancestor died at Bunker Hill and his remaining family was taken care of by Benedict Arnold. Others supported the Revolution, on both sides; Loyalist and Patriot. Somerfield Plc and Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc
This Competition Commission report examines the purchase by Somerfield plc of 115 stores and other assets from Wm Morrisons plc in October 2004. The Office of Fair Trading referred this to the Commission in March 2005, with competition concerns. The Commission has concluded that the completed acquisition may be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition in 12 local grocery retail markets, as well as 14 local markets where acquisition gave concern. To restore competition in these markets Somerfield will have to sell 12 stores to suitable grocery retailers approved by the Commission. Somerfield group is the fifth largest supermarket group with a UK annual turnover of approximately £4.7 billion. It has 750 mid-range stores under Somerfield, and 500 under Kwik Save. Morrisons is the fourth largest grocery retailer in the UK, operating about 500 stores. An earlier Competition Commission report on mergers issued as a Command Paper (Cm.5950) is also available on the subject of proposed mergers between Safeway plc and Asda Group Limited (owned by Wal-Mart Stores Inc); Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC; J Sainsbury plc; and Tesco plc (see ISBN 0101595026).
