Con motivo de la convocatoria hecha, en 2010, por el grupo de investigación Reflexión y Creación Artísticas Contemporáneas, del Departamento de Humanidades, de la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, se realizó, entre el 19 y el 22 de octubre de tal año, en la Universidad del Valle, el III Encuentro de Estudios Estéticos, en el marco del III Congreso Colombiano de Filosofía. El volumen que aquí se presenta empezó a configurarse en ese encuentro, que constituyó un diálogo de perspectivas y temas estéticos de una amplia gama.

To meet the challenge of feeding ever increasing human population, efficient, economical and environment friendly disease control methods are required.
