This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Rewriting Techniques and Applications, RTA 2000, held in Norwich, UK, in July 2000. The 15 revised full papers and three system descriptions presented together with two invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from 44 submissions. All current aspects of rewriting are addressed.
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Parallel Processing and Applied Mathematics, PPAM 2003, held in Czestochowa, Poland, in September 2003. The 149 papers presented were carefully selected and improved during two rounds of reviewing and revision. The papers are organized in topical sections on parallel and distributed architectures, scheduling and load balancing, performance analysis and prediction, parallel and distributed non-numerical algorithms, parallel and distributed programming, tools and environments, applications, evolutionary computing, soft computing data and knowledge management, numerical methods and their applications, multi-dimensional systems, grid computing, heterogeneous platforms, high performance numerical computation, large-scale scientific computation, and bioinformatics applications.
The objective of the workshops associated with the ER2000 19th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling was to give participants the opportunity to present and discuss emerging, hot topics, thus adding new perspectives to conceptual modeling. This attracts communities which have begun to or which have already recognized the importance of conceptual modeling for solving their problems. To meet this objective, we selected the following two topics: { Conceptual Modeling Approaches for E-Business (eCOMO2000) aimed at studying the application of conceptual modeling techniques speci cally to e-business. { The World Wide Web and Conceptual Modeling (WCM2000) which analyzes how conceptual mod...
The refereed proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Rewriting Techniques and Applications, RTA 2003, held in Valencia, Spain in June 2003. The 26 revised regular papers and 6 system descriptions presented together with 3 invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from 61 submissions. All current aspects of rewriting are addressed.
This volume gives the proceedings of the Fourth Workshop on Computer-Aided Verification (CAV '92), held in Montreal, June 29 - July 1, 1992. The objective of this series of workshops is to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the development and use of methods, tools and theories for the computer-aided verification of concurrent systems. The workshops provide an opportunity for comparing various verification methods and practical tools that can be used to assist the applications designer. Emphasis is placed on new research results and the application of existing results to real verification problems. The volume contains 31 papers selected from 75 submissions. These are organized into parts on reduction techniques, proof checking, symbolic verification, timing verification, partial-order approaches, case studies, model and proof checking, and other approaches. The volume starts with an invited lecture by Leslie Lamport entitled "Computer-hindered verification (humans can do it too)".
