Murphy's Law/the Scent of Orchids

Murphy's Law: Murphy McKenna managed to get herself stuck in an unexpected, Maine blizzard, in a remote cabin with dead phones, and impassable roads. Could there be a worse time for a wounded man to show up on her doorstep? Not only is Garrett hurt, he's also apparently been out wandering in the storm with a duffel bag stuffed with money, antique jewelry, and a gun. Will Murphy's conscience allow her to turn her back on the handsome stranger who may be a thief, a bank robber, or worse ...? The Scent of Orchids:Elissa Martin arrives in Hawaii to save her cousin from Adam Wolcot. She's unprepared for the effect the man has on her, and decides the months of self-imposed exile on her Missouri farm, following her parents deaths and a failed love life have taken their toll on her mental state. The more she gets to know him, the more she convinces herself that any danger he represents to Lyla is just a figment of her imagination. Can Elissa overcome her distrust of men, and of Adam, enough to fall in love with him?

His to Protect (Black Hills Wolves #63)

A resentful pack, a suspicious alpha and a looming threat… After ten long years, desperation has forced Luna Sinclair back to Los Lobos, but nothing in her experience has prepared her for the heat that Pack Protector Gunnar Redmond unleashes. Her wolf is clawing to break free and run straight for the hulking beast; but what wolf in his right mind would want to be tied to her family tree? Not everyone is happy about welcoming the daughter of one of the old alpha’s henchmen home. Old wounds and secrets are exposed and, to make matters worse, Drew Tao, the new alpha, has reason to suspect she might have revealed the pack’s most closely guarded secret when she escaped the crazed survivalist who had been keeping her prisoner. None of that matters to Gunnar. He’s known Luna was his mate since finding her naked and shivering on pack land, and he’ll do anything to keep her. With their wolves clawing to mate and danger closing in, anyone who wants to hurt her will have to go through him first.

Infamous

Dickinson meets Booksmart with a dash of Little Women in Infamous, a Regency-era queer romantic comedy with a deliciously feminist twist, from Lex Croucher, the author of Reputation. Twenty-two-year-old aspiring writer Edith (“Eddie”) Miller and her best friend Rose have always done everything together—from climbing trees and sneaking bottles of wine, to extensive kissing practice. But Rose has started talking about marriage, and Eddie is horrified. Why can’t they continue as they always have? Then Eddie meets charming, renowned poet Nash Nicholson––a rival of Lord Byron, if he does say so himself––and he welcomes her into his world of eccentric artists and boundary-breaking ...
