「我覺得台灣的甜有兩種，一種是分享的甜，一種就是神明的保佑。」《我的幸福糕餅鋪》作者張尊禎在接受《光華》專訪時說道。「糖」曾為台灣重要出口品，為台灣賺取大量外匯，這些甜蜜滋味在重要節慶日子裡，成為許多人記憶中的美好印記。本期封面故事，將從古早味零食（麻粩、糕點、新港飴）、傳統創新（鳳梨酥、奶油酥餅、綠豆椪），到鹹甜滋味（竹塹餅、咖哩餅），以及新住民朋友所帶來的椰糖、娘惹糕、棕櫚糖等，滿足讀者的甜蜜味蕾。 除了甜蜜滋味，本期《光華》還前進曾串起台灣西部交通與經濟要道的西螺大橋。「對西螺人來說，西螺大橋是家鄉的圖騰，我們希望保有她的時代意義，連結在地文化，讓她源遠流長。」螺陽文教基金會執行常務董事何美慧說。2001、2005年雲林及彰化分別將西螺大橋指定為歷史建築，橋上31處宛如隧道般的鋼拱，伴隨橋面上的文化慶典、藝術展演，以及與老街觀光的結合，延續這座時代之橋的風華史蹟。
