Excerpt from Annual Report of the Illinois Farmers' Institute: With Reports of County Farmers' Institutes for the Year 1903 It shall employ such superintendents, speakers and clerks as may be deemed proper for organizing and conducting the work of the Illi nois Farmers' Institute and provide for their compensation by the rules of the board of directors. The secretary and the treasurer may be other than members of the board of directors. The salary of the secretary shall be two thousand dollars a year, payable in monthly installments.
