This book presents the proceedings of the International Conference on Computers Communications and Control 2020 (ICCCC2020), covering topics such as theory for computing and communications, integrated solutions in computer-based control, computational intelligence and soft computing, decision-making and support systems. The ICCCC was founded in Romania in 2006, and its eight editions have featured respected keynote speakers and leading computer scientists from around the globe.
Features a simplified presentation of numerical methods by introducing and implementing SAGE programs An Introduction to SAGE Programming: With Applications to SAGE Interacts for Numerical Methods emphasizes how to implement numerical methods using SAGE Math and SAGE Interacts and also addresses the fundamentals of computer programming, including if statements, loops, functions, and interacts. The book also provides a unique introduction to SAGE and its computer algebra system capabilities; discusses second and higher order equations and estimate limits; and determines derivatives, integrals, and summations. Providing critical resources for developing successful interactive SAGE numerical co...
A topic of utmost importance in civil engineering is finding optimal solutions throughout the life cycle of buildings and infrastructural objects, including their design, manufacturing, use, and maintenance. Operational research, management science, and optimization methods provide a consistent and applicable groundwork for engineering decision-making. These topics have received the interest of researchers and, after a rigorous peer-review process, eight papers have been published in this Special Issue. The articles in this Printed Edition demonstrate how solutions in civil engineering, which bring economic, social, and environmental benefits, are obtained through a variety of methodologies ...
In the era of digitalization, the world has shrunk and has succeeded in bringing people closer than expected. It has provided a social platform which enables people to interact with an individual, group of users anywhere irrespective of time. It has assisted in various academic, non academic as well as social activities which has made lives more easier. Various researches have been conducted that explored the versatile use of the Internet by the language communities and there has been growing research with various strands based on the possibilities of new technologies for the revitalization as well as for the documentation and preservation of cultures. Digitalization could indeed be the best...
This Special Issue covers symmetry and asymmetry phenomena occurring in real-life problems. We invited authors to submit their theoretical or experimental research presenting engineering and economic problem solution models dealing with the symmetry or asymmetry of different types of information. The issue gained interest in the research community and received many submissions. After rigorous scientific evaluation by editors and reviewers, nine papers were accepted and published. The authors proposed different MADM and MODM solution models as integrated tools to find a balance between the components of sustainable global development, to find a symmetry axis concerning goals, risks, and const...
This work investigates the evolution of traditional set theory to address complex and ambiguous real-world phenomena. It introduces hierarchical hyperstructures and superhyperstructures, where superhyperstructures are formed by iteratively applying power sets to create nested abstractions. The focus is placed on three foundational set-based frameworks—Fuzzy Sets, Neutrosophic Sets, and Plithogenic Sets and their extensions into Hyperfuzzy Sets, HyperNeutrosophic Sets, and Hyperplithogenic Sets. These extensions are applied to various domains, including Statistics, TOPSIS, K-means Clustering, Evolutionary Theory, Topological Spaces, Decision Making, Probability, and Language Theory. By exploring these generalized forms, this paper seeks to guide and inspire further research and development in this rapidly expanding field.
This proceedings volume presents recent theoretical and practical advances in operational research (OR). The papers focus on a number of key areas including combinatorial optimization, integer programming, heuristics, and mathematical programming. In addition, this volume highlights OR applications in different areas such as financial decision making, marketing, e-business, project management, scheduling, traffic and transportation. The chapters are based on papers presented at the 13th Balkan Conference on Operations Research (BALCOR). BALCOR is an established biennial conference. The selected papers promote international collaboration among researchers and practitioners, with a particular focus on the Balkan countries.
The objective of this publication is to highlight the extensive range and profundity of research across these intimately connected disciplines. The intersection of Mathematics and Computer Science continues to be a dynamic area of exploration, witnessing remarkable progress and innovation over recent years. In an era dominated by technological breakthroughs and an ever-growing reliance on data-centric methodologies, researchers within these domains are relentlessly pursuing novel theories, algorithms, and models aimed at addressing some of the most challenging and pertinent issues of our contemporary society. This publication stands as a tribute to their unwavering commitment and scholarly rigor.
This book contains selected papers presented at the International Conference "Bio-Inspired Computational Methods Used for Difficult Problems Solving. Development of Intelligent and Complex Systems" - BICS 2008, organized by the Romanian Academy, Bucharest and Petru Major University of Tg. Mures, held on 5-7 November 2008 at Petry Major University of Tg. Mures, Romania. The aim of this conference was to bring together researchers working in the main areas of Complex Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Systems and Natural Computing for presenting their recent results and exchanging ideas. The papers included in the book provide an introduction and also a state of the art to the bio-inspired computer science. The areas covered were those of natural computing, such as evolutionary and neural computing, as well as younger research directions, such as DNA computing, ant colony optimization, with connections and applications to intelligent complex systems and to medical informatics. Thus, both directions of research, from biology to informatics and from informatics to biology are illustrated.
