Parenthood in Modern Society
The rights and obligations of parenthood are central to most people's lives. Yet their form and substance are caught up in the great demographic, social and economic changes of the late twentieth century. In this book, specialists from 22 countries examine fundamental issues confronting parenthood: these include social and biological conceptions of parenthood; the legal and moral obligations of parenthood; the legal and scientific establishment of parentage; rights to parenthood, including inter-country adoption; the effects on parent--child relationships of family change; the role of the state in family life; the position of minorities; and children's rights. They are viewed within a global context, and integrated in a commentary which looks forward to the future evolution of the law.
The International Survey of Family Law
The "International Survey of Family Law," published on behalf of the International Society of Family Law, is the successor to the Annual Survey of Family Law'. It provides information, analysis and comment on recent developments in Family Law across the world on a country-by-country basis. The Survey is published annually and its subtitle reflects the calendar year surveyed. Where a country has been regularly surveyed each year, the developments discussed correspond to the year in question. If certain countries have not been surveyed for some years the contributions will usually attempt to cover the intervening period. If countries are being covered for the first time, then more background information will be provided about the state of family law in the country in question. The Survey also contains an article dealing with the more significant developments in international law affecting the family.

Games and Learning Alliance
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Games and Learning Alliance, GALA 2019, held in Athens, Greece, in November 2019.
