Philip J. Hart was born in Idaho in 1912. His ancestors were early converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England. He was trained as a physist and in 1941 he married Olive Ellen Winterton. They had seven children. Biographical information on his life is included in this volume along with much of his philosophy of life. His descendants live throughout the United States and are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
