Johan Adam Hebding was born 8 March 1720 in Rötenberg, Germany. His parents were Conrad Hebding and Catharina Beck. He married Christina Barbara Osiander. in 1738. They emigrated in 1749 and settled in South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina.
