Pillars of Lace is an eclectic collection of the finest writing by Italian-Canadian women. It is the first anthology of its kind in Canada. This anthology showcases excerpts of a variety of writing styles: poetry, short stories, film scripts, novels, personal memoirs, and journalism. Pillars of Lace is the perfect starting point for an introduction to and a taste of Italian-Canadian women writers. The material previously published or written in French or Italian has been translated into English. A burgeoning new branch of Hispanic literature, Latino-Canadian writing is now becoming part of the Canadian and Quebec literary traditions. Latinocanadá, a critical anthology, examines the work of Hispanic writers who have settled in Canada over the past thirty years and includes newly translated selections of their work.

Language Acts brings together twenty provocative essays on the state of English-language poetry in Québec since 1976. Born and raised during this historically resonant period of Trudeauism, organized Québecois nationalism, language legislation, and profound demographic and cultural change, Anglo-Québec poetry has come of age in the 21st century as a literature with its own distinct arguments about itself, and its own poetical acts in language.
