In this blatant rip-off of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (which, in turn, was a blatant rip-off of Apollonius and Silla by Barnabe Rich, which was a blatant rip-off of Histories Tragideis by Francois Belleforest, which was a blatant rip-off of Novelle by Matteo Bandello, which was a blatant rip-off of an Italian play GI Ingannati by a playwright who had the goodly wit to remain anonymous), a twin brother and sister, separated in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, encounter one adventure after another as they struggle to survive in a gay new environment.

This book is basically a true story about the adults and kids who lived and grew up on Brooklyn Avenue, called at that time “Cow Sh*t Alley”, during the 40’s and 50’s. It’s about the joys and sorrows, love and hate, and above all the experiences good and bad; the agony and pleasure of growing up in this very special and unusual place. These are the people that shared my younger years and have become the finest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Even though we have had our differences, they are all unique in their own way and I grew to love them all.
