Report of the forty-first session of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean
The forty-first session of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean as well as the eighth session of the Committee on Administration and Finance was attended by delegates of 22 contracting parties, as well as of three cooperating non-contracting parties and one non-contracting party. Representatives from 20 intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and its regional projects as well as the Bureaus of the Commission and its subsidiary bodies, were also in attendance.

People who have lived through authoritarian rule have stories to tell, truths that have been silenced. But how do individuals begin to speak about a political past that was too horrible for words? How is truth best voiced in a society moving out of authoritarianism? This generously illustrated volume examines the creation of stories, accounts, images, songs, street theater, paintings, and ideas that pay witness to authoritarian pasts in Nigeria, South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia. This theme is explored with contributions by scholars, activists, and artists. By examining the past, they hope to teach us to avoid repeating these atrocities.
Reading the City
German students of urban and regional planning from Berlin and Macedonian students of urban planning and architecture from Skopje will examine the construction of remembrance and its representation in the urban space of Skopje. Besides giving presentations on the theme, during a workshop in May the students will investigate specific sites of remembrance in Skopje and locate their nexuses of significance within different social contexts. Behind the ethnic divisions of the population lies the question of the similarities and differences between the various remembrance constructs. The workshop culminates in a presentation of the results and an exhibition in Skopje. At the final follow-up in Berlin the planned publication of the results will be arranged and the exhibition in Berlin organised
