Desire to Aspire
This poetry book was written with the express interest of showing the possibility of having a successful life, no matter what the circumstances may be. The first section of this book is dedicated to the children. They are at their most impressional stage. It is in a child’s early years that they are extremely influenced by various people and/or the environment of which they may find themselves. No matter what kind of background a child comes from, with the power of their mind, they can make or break their adulthood. It’s all in their attitude and their desire to aspire.
Family, Friends and Fun
Some of my poetry is inspired by someone’s action, some come by way of sight, sound or a feeling I may have. Some of my poems don’t come at all. Those are the most challenging ones because they force me to go in search of them. I jot a poem because it’s fun and it’s a contribute to society. Even if no one knows I’ve penned the verse, it gives me pleasure knowing it has been created and at any time someone may read it. I can only hope they enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Peace in Paradise
Mitchell Lauers is a twenty year old man taking on responsibilities for himself and others. Wholesome and unwholesome characters enter his life; he accepts them as they are. At twenty-three Mitchell is drafted into the army. Julia Holton is eighteen years old, wanting a better life; she joins the navy. During a Greyhound Bus ride back to her base, Mitchell befriends her. Who Ghost There
Running a private eye firm in Firefly Bay would be so much easier if I didn't have a dozen elderly ghosts dogging my every step. All I really want is to solve my cases, enjoy my coffee in peace, date super-hot cop Captain Cowboy Hot Pants, or, as he likes to be called, Detective Kade Galloway, and keep my annoyingly loveable family from discovering my ghost whispering secret.
