Letter, 23 Nov. 1833, written from Baltimore shortly before his migration to Africa, expresses appreciation for the many people who gave food and other items to the missionaries, mentions attending a prayer meeting for the African mission, and describes his accommodations on the ship. Wilson's wife, Jane Elizabeth Bayard, informs Martha, 6 July 1835 that her husband had recovered from an illness and that they probably would remain in Africa.
