Advances in Information Systems Development
This volume features a collection of papers on emerging concepts, significant insights, novel approaches and ideas in information systems research. It examines advances in information systems development in general, and their impact on the development of new methods, tools and management. The book contains invited papers selected from the 27th International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD) held in Lund, Sweden, August 22 - 24, 2018. The revised and expanded papers present research that focuses on methods, tools and management in information systems development. These issues are significant as they provide the basis for organizations to identify new markets, support innovative technology deployment, and enable mobile applications to detect, sense, interpret and respond to the environment.
Advances in Information Systems Development:
The two-volume Advances in Information Systems Development: Bridging the Gap between Academia and Industry constitutes the collected proceedings of the Fourteenth International Conference on Information Systems Development: Methods and Tools, Theory and Practice – ISD’2005 Conference. The focus of these volumes is to examine the exchange of ideas between academia and industry and aims to explore new solutions. The proceedings follow the seven conference tracks highlighted at the Conference: Co-design of Business and IT; Communication and Methods; Human Values of Information Technology; Service Development and IT; Requirements Engineering in the IS Life-Cycle; Semantic Web Approaches and Applications; and Management and IT.
Digital Privacy
This book documents the R&D outcome of the PRIME Project, an R&D project partially funded by the European Union’s Sixth Framework Programme and the Swiss Federal Office for Education and Science. PRIME has focused on privacy-enhancing identity management techniques and systems to support users’ sovereignty over their personal privacy and enterprises’ privacy-compliant data processing. During the course of four years, the project has involved over a hundred researchers and professionals from 22 major European academic and industrial organizations conducting R&D work in areas relevant to digital privacy. The book presents 28 detailed chapters organized in five parts: Introductory summary, legal, social, and economic aspects, realization of privacy-enhancing user-centric identity management, exploitation of PRIME results for applications, conclusions drawn and an outlook on future work. As the first coherent presentation of the topic, this book will serve as a valuable source of reference and inspiration for anybody working on digital privacy.
