Also includes copies of statements to the Royall African Company of England dated March 31, 1717 and April 14, 1718. In the back there is an "Invoyce of Goods Detained from me unjustly by the Honorable William Johnson Esq."
Consisting of Civil War letters written by William H. Johnson from various locations in coastal South Carolina and Georgia and addressed to his wife, Hannah J. Johnson. South Carolina places represented include Daufuskie Island, Beaufort, Hilton Head Island, James Island, and Morris Island.
