Expresa Judith Butler en Sin miedo (2020) que somos conscientes de que los asesinatos son una manifestación de violencia, pero esta no siempre adopta la forma de un golpe, y, además, ese golpe es tan solo un instante dentro de toda la reproducción estructural de la violencia.
