La sistematización de experiencias
Este libro expone uno de los temas de investigación más frecuentes en la última década en el ámbito educativo y escolar: la sistematización de experiencias. Esta metodología estructura la reflexión y construcción de los saberes pedagógicos situados, y ha permitido rescatar y resignificar las vivencias de los actores del entramado escolar, con base tanto en constructos y deducciones teóricas como en las subjetividades, sentidos y abordajes de las vivencias de estos actores. Pretende visibilizar los trayectos de la sistematización de experiencias en su consolidación como apuesta epistémica, metodológica, ética y política, para la producción de conocimiento en escenarios académicos.
Book of Abstracts. Workshop on Simulation and Optimization for Sustainable Engineering
The Workshop on Simulation and Optimization for Sustainable Engineering is held in Santander (September 28th-29th) on the occasion of the visit of Prof. Ignacio Grossmann to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the Universidad de Cantabria in the framework of the Fulbright U.S. Specialist Program. This workshop is organized in collaboration with AQUIQÁN, the Association of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Cantabria, with the aims of serving both as a forum of discussion of the recent advances in the topic and a meeting point of the closest collaborators of Prof. Grossmann in Spain over the last years. Overall, 30 researchers will take part in this event coming from several universities (Alicante, Cantabria, Rovira i Virgili, Salamanca, Sevilla, and Valladolid) and the IMDEA Materials Institute. The program includes a plenary lecture imparted by Prof. Grossmann, one keynote presentation representative of each institution and around 15 oral presentations from young researchers.
The Aztec Eagles
Few would list Mexico as an ally of the US during the Second World War. Sadly, Mexico s aid to the US has been largely ignored by historians and is mostly absent from American history books. When Mexican aviators had the opportunity to show their courage in battle, they did so with valour. General Douglas MacArthur commended the pilots and 150 support personnel. The thirty-one pilots of Mexican Expeditionary Force 201st Fighter Squadron flew missions supporting troops in the Philippines and sorties over Formosa. The Aztec Eagles helped the Allies defeat Japan, end the isolationism of Mexico and paved the way for important agreements between the United States and Mexico. They helped modernise the Mexican Air Force and demonstrated that Mexico could mount a successful expeditionary force. Significant as these achievements were, perhaps the unit s most important legacy is that the Aztec Eagles fought for dignity, creating pride throughout their homeland. That pride endures and is evident today as the story of the Aztec Eagles can be heard across the nation.
