Blank Voices is a platform where you can get stories to share beyond any biases, stories of unsung heroes, stories without a voice, stories that inspire and transform. In the age of information, if stories are losing their meaning in generalization, in statistics, in summaries, and in the status quo, Blank Voices wishes to offer a safe place where speakers feel heard and understood. We welcome the participation of diverse people with diverse and dynamic perspectives through diverse media; be it poetry, paintings, sketches, installation art, live art, audio-visual, photography, and whatnot! The Butterfly Effect is planned to be an annual anthology of liberal arts, initiating from September 20...

The Death of Murnau

"Before losing my conscience I turned around to see where we were. On the side of the hill red poppies were just starting their extreme bloom, due to the rain that had fallen during the previous days. It was a calm nature, almost sleep inducing. But there was nothing really there. Just the hill and the bloom." "Your destiny is nothing else but the society jumping on your chest and trying to pump out all of your air, any time you attempt to breathe." Inspired by true events that took place at the end of the 1920s, the story being told is of the occult and the unknown that was surrounding the shooting of the last film of the legendary German silent era director, F.W. Murnau, which led to his untimely death. Himself bound by the destiny of origins, it is the mysterlous boy-servant, García Stevenson, who becomes the conduit of Murnau's tragic fate.Set in the intoxicating theater of the French Polynesia, this is a story about identity, artistic expression and a boy's mental anguish, in the light of the bitter struggle to find a place in a world slowly succumbing to chaos. About the author: Edo Murić is a writer and filmmaker, living in Vienna.

The Migration Conference 2020 is held online via Microsoft Teams platform due to COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions. We have as usual covering a wide array of topics in this year’s edition too. There are about 350 presentations and debates running over 4 days from 8th to 11th September 2020. We have tried to address the time zone differences by moving sessions towards mid-day and grouping presentations, where possible, according to time zones. However, we believe this is not perfect to accommodate hundreds of colleagues from Brazil to Japan, and Au...
