Algorithms for Next Generation Networks
Data networking now plays a major role in everyday life and new applications continue to appear at a blinding pace. Yet we still do not have a sound foundation for designing, evaluating and managing these networks. This book covers topics at the intersection of algorithms and networking. This book looks at that future, examining the potential impact of technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual reality, smart buildings, drones, robots, and holograms in future universities. It is a story told in three acts. The first act takes the reader through a history of the modern university, highlighting major innovations that have transformed the academy since the founding of the University of Bologna in 1088. The opening ceremony and pre-conference tutorials on various related topics were held on December 21. The technical program started on December 22 and continued for three days. The program was arranged in single track so as to enable participants to attend sessions of di?erent tracks. Papers from the DM, IT, SE, and SS tracks were divided into two sessions, whereas DC track sessions were held on the ?rst two days of the conference. The program also included two plenary talks.
