George and Martha meet in a seedy motel room on the night before the Republican National Convention. Their affair goes way back, before George stole the election, before Martha built an empire on fascist domesticity. As usual, George numbs his pain over waging perpetual war with cocaine and the promise of kinky sex. Martha is forced to take a long view of her life as she suffers the public humiliation of corporate scandal, on the brink of going to prison. Written in the style of Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, George & Martha is Karen Finley's most scandalous work to date, a hilarious satire that takes a radical stand on political power, psychosexual relations between men and women, and the current state of affairs. Lavishly illustrated with drawings by the author.

"After beginning chemo for a rare cancer, Hildy discovers an extraordinary talent--the ability to see and take other people's time. She also discovers there's an underground market for quality time. After all, who has enough time? The dying, especially, want to get more of it, but giving it to them means taking it from someone else. How moral is she? How will she juggle the black marketers' strong-arm tactics and her own quandaries about stealing something so precious and vital that it can never be replaced?"--Back cover

MARY RUSCONI lives a charmed life in Tuscany. On the day her husband, Luca, departs for a business trip to the United States, Mary stops in to see her closest friend - a wise and psychic 92-year-old woman named Dorotea. She tells Mary a young lady is about to enter her life with a devil riding one shoulder and a powerful angel on the other. Then Dorotea tells Mary that she is the only person who can help chase away this lady's devil. A few days later an artist from New Orleans named Jessie Morrow walks into Mary's small Tuscan art gallery. From the moment they share their first glass of Chianti, the lives of these two strong and creative women - and their friends and family - become connected in miraculous ways that will make your heart beat fast and bring tears to your eyes. "Because of Tuscany" is Karen Ross' second novel. Readers love the characters from her first novel, "Chianti Souls," and their stories of romance and friendship continue in the heartwarming sequel. Karen takes you on a journey from Tuscany to New Orleans, to Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, and back to Tuscany. Enjoy the ride.

I like to thank all my friend's, and family who supported me in writing this book 'Karen.' I was inspired with the name Karen, because my own daughter name is Karen. At that time, I use to think of her a lot alongwith all the other characters in this book, which is also my kids. I have a lot of kids, and I have always been inspired by them, from the first day they were born. When I first started writing this book, I spend many days and nights doing so. One day, my mother saw my pages and decided to read them, and was more inspired than I was. She told me that she saw the pages and read them. And that I should continue writing, and so I did. Although my writing started somewhere in the 70s, my mother had the opportunity to review some of my book pages from when I first started my writing career. Today she's smiling down on me from haven, bless her soul.I'm sure she knows that she was, and still is a big inspiration to me. Upon all that was said, I would like to dedicate this book to all my kids. And a special thanks to my Mother, Josephine, two sisters Lillian and baby sister Diane, who are now in Heaven.
