This book constitutes the proceedings of the 24th International Conference, ICWE 2024, held in Tampere, Finland, during June 17-20, 2024. The 16 full papers and 8 short papers included in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 66 submissions. This volume includes all the accepted papers across various conference tracks. The ICWE 2024 theme, "Ethical and Human-Centric Web Engineering: Balancing Innovation and Responsibility," invited discussions on creating Web technologies that are not only innovative but also ethical, transparent, privacy-focused, trustworthy, and inclusive, putting human needs and well-being at the core.
Current Trends in Web Engineering
This book constitutes the refereed thoroughly refereed post-workshop proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Web Engineering, ICWE 2018, held in Cáceres, Spain, in June 2018. The 18 revised full papers were selected from 40 submissions. The workshops complement the main conference and explore new trends on core topics of Web engineering and provide an open discussion space combining solid theory work with practical on-the-field experience. The workshop committee accepted five workshops for publication in this volume: First International Workshop on Maturity of Web Engineering Practices (MATWEP 2018), Second International Workshop on Engineering theWeb of Things (EnWoT 2018), Fourth International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery on the Web (KDWEB 2018), International Workshop on Engineering Open Data (WEOD 2018), First International Workshop on Knowledge Graphs on Travel and Tourism (TourismKG 2018).
Agile Processes in Software Engineering and Extreme Programming
This book is open access under a CC BY license. The volume constitutes the proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Agile Software Development, XP 2017, held in Cologne, Germany, in May 2017. The 14 full and 6 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 46 submissions. Engineering for Human-Computer Interaction
The papers collected here are those selected for presentation at the Eighth IFIP Conference on Engineering for Human-Computer Interaction (EHCI 2001) held in Toronto, Canada in May 2001. The conference is organized by the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP) Working Group 2.7 (13.4) for Interface User Engineering, Rick Kazman being the conference chair, Nicholas Graham and Philippe Palanque being the chairs of the program committee. The conference was co-located with ICSE 2001 and co-sponsored by ACM. The aim of the IFIP working group is to investigate the nature, concepts, and construction of user interfaces for software systems. The group's scope is: • to develop user interfaces based on knowledge of system and user behavior; • to develop frameworks for reasoning about interactive systems; and • to develop engineering models for user interfaces. Every three years, the working group holds a working conference. The Seventh one was held September 14-18 1998 in Heraklion, Greece. This year, we innovated by organizing a regular conference held over three days.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Web Engineering, ICWE 2021, which was supposed to be held in Biarritz, France, in May 2021. Due to the corona pandemic the conference changed to a virtual format. The total of 22 full and 13 short contributions presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 128 submissions. The book also contains 6 demonstration, 1 poster, 3 PhD, and 3 tutorial papers. The papers were organized in topical sections named: Semantic Web; social Web; Web modeling and engineering; Web big data and data analytics; Web mining and knowledge extraction; Web of Things; Web programming; Web user interfaces; PhD symposium; posters and demonstrations; and tutorials. Web Information Systems and Technologies
This book contains the thoroughly refereed and revised best papers from the 9th International Conference on Web Information Systems and Technologies, WEBIST 2013, held in Aachen, Germany, in May 2013, organized by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC), and co-organized by the RWTH Aachen University. The 15 papers presented in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 143 submissions.
