The renovation of the listed building of the Kunsthalle Rostock in 2020 represents for the museum a moment of upheaval, pause, farewell and new beginning at the same time. Rostock is thus preserving an important symbol of the museum and urban development of the GDR from 1969. At the same time, the idea of developing an installation that takes up this upheaval in terms of content and forms a bridge to the history of the Kunsthalle Rostock is being developed together with the Berlin based artist Andrea Pichl. Menschen, Tiere und Kanonen
Die Künstlervereinigung Künstler Gut Loitz e.V. präsentiert mit der Ausstellung 'Menschen, Tiere und Kanonen - Vom Leben der Vereine' in der Kunsthalle Rostock künstlerische Positionen, die das Vereinsleben in Loitz und Rostock behandeln. Sieben Künstlerinnen und Künstler entdecken im Vorfeld mit verschiedenen Vereinen das visuelle und kommunikative Selbstverständnis ihres Vereinslebens und seine Bedeutung für den Gemeinsinn innerhalb unserer Gesellschaft. Die künstlerische Umsetzung versteht sich als ein Beitrag zur deutsch-deutschen Erinnerungskultur und zur Förderung des bürgerschaftlichen Kunst- und Kulturengagements.0Die Ergebnisse werden in einer großen Ausstellung und in mehreren Aktionen in der Kunsthalle Rostock sowie an verschiedenen Orten des Stadtraumes der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert. 00Exhibition: Kunsthalle Rostock, Germany ( 26.10.2014 – 2.11.2014).
