Innovations in Enterprise Information Systems Management and Engineering
This volume presents the revised and peer reviewed contributions of the ‘ERP Future 2015’ conference held in Munich, Germany on November 16-17, 2015. The ERP Future 2015 Research conference is a scientific platform for research on enterprise information systems in general and specifically on core topics like business process management (BPM), business intelligence (BI) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Besides the scientific community the event also addresses businesses developing, implementing and using enterprise information systems. The 7 full papers and 5 short papers accepted for ERP were selected from 23 submissions. The papers consider topics in education in enterprise systems; business process management; enterprise systems and solution providers; and IT-trends.

Enterprise, Business-Process and Information Systems Modeling
This book constitutes the proceedings of two events held at the CAiSE conference and relating to the areas of enterprise, business process and information systems modeling: The 19th International Conference on Business Process Modeling, Development and Support, BPMDS 2018, and the 23rd International Conference on Evaluation and Modeling Methods for Systems Analysis and Development, EMMSAD 2018. The conferences took place in Tallinn, Estonia, in June 2018. The 13 papers accepted for BPMDS were carefully reviewed and selected from 29 submissions; for EMMSAD 6 papers out of 13 submissions were accepted for publication. For BPMDS 2018, the papers were organized in topical sections as follows: context-awareness in business processes; automatic analysis of business processes; advanced approaches for business process modeling; evaluation of business process modeling techniques; an experience report on modeling collaborative processes. For EMMSAD 2018, the six related papers are listed without further sections.
Human Centred Intelligent Systems
This book highlights new trends and challenges in intelligent systems, which play an important part in the digital transformation of many areas of science and practice. It includes papers offering a deeper understanding of the human-centred perspective on artificial intelligence, of intelligent value co-creation, ethics, value-oriented digital models, transparency, and intelligent digital architectures and engineering to support digital services and intelligent systems, the transformation of structures in digital businesses and intelligent systems based on human practices, as well as the study of interaction and the co-adaptation of humans and systems. The Sourcing of Application Software Services
The field of Information Systems (IS) outsourcing has drawn considerable attention among scientists and practitioners for the past fifteen years. The present book analyses why organizations insource or outsource IS functions - - specifically the development and maintenance of software applications. Concepts from transaction cost theory, resource-based theory, incomplete contracts theory, the theory of planned behaviour, and cross-cultural research are integrated into a coherent framework that recognizes the economic, strategic, and social dimension of the IS sourcing decision. This framework is specified in a research model and empirically tested across countries (Germany versus USA), industries (Machinery versus Finance) and IS functions (Application Software Development versus Maintenance) using the partial least squares (PLS) approach of structural equation modelling. The book thereby provides theoretically and empirically grounded insights into the reasons and implications of the IS sourcing decision.
