It is the largest encyclopedia of ornamental, landscape tree, shrub, and vine varieties, most described in detail with their history, nomenclature, and landscape uses discussed. Numerous high-resolution digital images accompany the entries. This volume of 307 pages includes such major genera as Paeonia, Populus, Potentilla, Parrotia, Platanus, Pittosporum, Pieris, Philadelphus, and many others. Other volumes of genera are sold separately.
International Coleus Society: Consolidated Cultivar Reference
When the International Coleus was founded several years ago, we immediately became devoted to cataloging not only new cultivars but fully studying the older material. Today we have over 1584 different named cultivars on file. This volume is Part I of the our new Consolidated Cultivar Reference, covering both detailed descriptions, histories, identification tips, and large (1000-1250 pixel wide) high-resolution digital images. Part I covers cultivars A to ) and covers 418 pages. We also have more scanned nursery catalogs from the past to document the history of the old or heirloom clones. Hundreds of hours of society member time was required to produce each volume. Sold in two parts or volumes (Part II not included here), this massive Coleus manual covers 628 8x12 in. International Register of Ornamental Plant Cultivars: Woody Plants
This is the November 2017 register of all new ornamental or landscape tree, shrub, conifer, and vine cultivar submitted or registered in the Open Registration Of Cultivars (OROC)(pronounded OH-rock) from 2013 to late 2017. OROC was formed to remedy the lack of an worldwide catalog of new cultivars because existing patent, trademark, and ICRA agencies barely account for 5% of the available new material. By reason, patented plants are only those likely to be very popular or from larger firms who can pay the free, not collector's items, most university items, nor smaller nurseries.

Cultivars of Woody Plants: Abutilon
In 2013, the New Ornamentals Society (now Cultivar.org) set about to update it's extensive files on flowering maples or Abutilon. More than 110 cultivars were described. We expected the project to yield perhaps 200-300 cultivars and be finished in six months. It turns out that this genus was far more popular in modern times and a century ago than any of the researchers realized. After nearly two years, a descriptive checklists of 525 cultivars came together to the surprise of all involved. We dug even deeper and found new images from gardens and historical scans of old catalogs that sometimes had informative illustrations. This volume is, we believe, the most complete study of the garden varieties of Abutilon ever compiled and is the product of hundreds of hours of study and travel.
BIOH: Biographies in Ornamental Horticulture
Hundreds of small biographical notes on leading develops of the modern landscape garden and ornamental plants in general, covering botanists, horticulturists, nurserymen, plantsmen, taxonomists, plant breeders, geneticists, landscape designers/architects, authors, educators, "guru" collectors, and special but ordinary folk who invented new, showy garden plants. International Coleus Society Encyclopedia of Cultivars:
This is the 2017 revision and supersedes all previous volumes in this series. More than 1600 cultivars of Coleus blumei, Coleus rehneltianus, and the hybrid Coleus x hybridus have been named since the middle of the 19th century. The International Coleus Society took up the cataloging and registration of all these cultivars when we started in 2013 using the existing files of the New Ornamentals Society and our numerous expert members. This volume provides descriptions to more about 95% of the cultivars beginning with the letter A and ending in F and includes screen-wide high-resolution digital images of modern cultivars, color plates from old catalogs, and scans of other nursery listings back to 1851 and including some 2017 introductions. This 224 page volume is just the beginning in our never ending goal to understand the genus Coleus and document it's history in gardens. Hundreds of hours of study, pouring over old catalogs, literature, garden records, patents, cultivar release notifces, and the memories of modern Coleus experts went into this presentation. Only cultivars from A to F are included. Cultivars of G to Z will be offered as separate volumes in the future.

Hatch's Perennials: Salvia and Sedum
This volume covers the cultivars of two major genera with detailed descriptions, original large digital images, history of cultivars, and sources links to new and rare material. There are 365 cultivars of Salvia and 266 of Sedum in this ground-breaking 95 page study of sage and stonecrop. More than 35 years ago, horticultural taxonomist Larry Hatch became frustrated with the lack of comprehensive information on the varieties of hardy herbaceous plants. He still is not satisfied and since that time has created annual updates to Hatch's Perennials to set the record straight. He took his work to several print publishers and not one wanted a perennial encyclopedia over 1200 pages due to the expense of being exhaustive, detailed, and including high-res, page-wide images for so many plants. The New Ornamentals Society and cultivar.org took him up on this challenge to create a much better perennial guide.
