Este livro, apesar de ter sido composto em um momento tardio da pandemia de covid-19 que nos atinge desde 2020, ainda apresenta sua influência. Entendemos que a educação e seus métodos não são estáticos, basta voltar nossos olhos às teorias de ensino e aprendizagem ao longo do tempo. Sendo assim, e tendo em mente a reviravolta pandêmica que todos experienciamos, a mudança e evolução contínua não param e são representadas nos escritos aqui dispostos.
Nanostructured Materials
There continues to be a worldwide interest in the size-dependent properties of nanostructured materials and their applications in many diverse fields such as catalysis, sensors, energy conversion processes, and biomedicine to name a few. The eleven chapters of this book written by different researchers include four chapters on the different methods of fabrication of specific materials followed by characterization of their properties, and the remaining seven chapters focusing on the fabrications and applications including three chapters on biomedical applications, two chapters on sensors, one chapter on solar cells, and one chapter on the use of nanoparticles in herbicides. These chapters provide up-to-date reviews useful for current and future researchers in these specific areas.
Information Technology in Disaster Risk Reduction
This volume constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of the Third IFIP TC 5 DCITDRR International Conference on Information Technology in Disaster Risk Reduction, ITDRR 2018, held as part of the 24th IFIP World Computer Congress, WCC 2018, in Poznan, Poland, in September 2018. The 12 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 32 submissions. The papers focus on various aspects and challenges of coping with disaster risk reduction. This four volume set provides the complete proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction held June, 2003 in Crete, Greece. A total of 2,986 individuals from industry, academia, research institutes, and governmental agencies from 59 countries submitted their work for presentation at the conference.
