This book constitutes revised selected papers from the refereed proceedings of the 15th Colombian Congress on Advances in Computing, CCC 2021, held in Bogotá, Colombia, during November 22–26, 2021. The 8 full papers and 2 short papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 47 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: Artificial intelligence; educational informatics; and information systems.
This book constitutes the refereed joint proceedings of the 6th Joint International Workshop on Computing and Visualization for Intravascular Imaging and Computer Assisted Stenting, CVII-STENT 2017, and the Second International Workshop on Large-Scale Annotation of Biomedical Data and Expert Label Synthesis, LABELS 2017, held in conjunction with the 20th International Conference on Medical Imaging and Computer-Assisted Intervention, MICCAI 2017, in Québec City, QC, Canada, in September 2017. The 6 full papers presented at CVII-STENT 2017 and the 11 full papers presented at LABELS 2017 were carefully reviewed and selected. The CVII-STENT papers feature the state of the art in imaging, treatment, and computer-assisted intervention in the field of endovascular interventions. The LABELS papers present a variety of approaches for dealing with few labels, from transfer learning to crowdsourcing.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the International Conference on Computer Vision and Graphic, ICCVG 2016, held in Warsaw, Poland, in September 2016. The 68 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from various submissions. They show various opportunities for valuable research at the border of applied information sciences, agribusiness, veterinary medicine and the broadly understood domains of biology and economy.
This book covers current technological innovations and applications in image processing, introducing analysis techniques and describing applications in remote sensing and manufacturing, among others. The authors include new concepts of color space transformation like color interpolation, among others. Also, the concept of Shearlet Transform and Wavelet Transform and their implementation are discussed. The authors include a perspective about concepts and techniques of remote sensing like image mining, geographical, and agricultural resources. The book also includes several applications of human organ biomedical image analysis. In addition, the principle of moving object detection and tracking — including recent trends in moving vehicles and ship detection – is described. Presents developments of current research in various areas of image processing; Includes applications of image processing in remote sensing, astronomy, and manufacturing; Pertains to researchers, academics, students, and practitioners in image processing.
Annotation This book is part I of a two-volume work that contains the refereed proceedings of the International Conference on Computer Vision and Graphics, ICCVG 2010, held in Warsaw, Poland, in September 2010. The 95 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers are organized in three topical sections: advances in pattern recognition, machine vision and image understanding; human motion analysis and synthesis; and computer vision and graphics.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 13th Colombian Conference on Computing, CCC 2018, held in Cartagena, Colombia, in September 2018. The 46 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 194 submissions. The papers deal with the following topics: information and knowledge management, software engineering and IT architectures, educational informatics, intelligent systems and robotics, human-computer interaction, distributed systems and large-scale architectures, image processing, computer vision and multimedia, security of the information, formal methods, computational logic, and theory of computation.
This volume contains the papers of the 19th International Congress of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (CARS 2005) held in Berlin, Germany between 22 and 25 June 2005. For 20 years, CARS has developed a culture of innovation with its focus on interdisciplinary and international cooperation. In approximately 20,000 pages of proceedings written by several thousand authors from more than 50 countries, many innovative developments have been reported which now assist the daily practice of physicians in their care of patients. Examples are PACS, a concept on which CARS was founded, and computer assisted surgical tools and systems, which were initially reported in CAR 85 and have now become ...
In November 2015, Buenos Aires, Argentina became the location of several important events for geo-professionals, with the simultaneous holding of the 6th International Symposium on Deformation Characteristics of Geomaterials, the 15th Pan-American Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (XV PCSMGE), the 8th South American Congress on Rock Mechanics (SCRM), as well as the 22nd Argentinean Congress of Geotechnical Engineering (CAMSIGXXII). This synergy provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss current and future practices in the areas of soil mechanics and rock mechanics, and their applications in civil, energy, environmental, and mining engineering. This bo...
Faced with chaotic environments, it is not possible to make totally efficient forecasts, especially when it is necessary to analyze events with multiple variables and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) constantly face events that escape the laws of the market. The handling that has been given to the crisis caused by the coronavirus has been trial and error, and the economic, social, and environmental results remain to be seen. The markets and the world are chaotic. With the markets in chaos due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to look at the methods used in these environments to promote business success. The Handbook of Research on Management Techniques and Sustainability ...
This book reconfigures the study of the origins of the Enlightenment in the Spanish Empire. Challenging dominant interpretations of the period, this book shows that early eighteenth-century Spanish authors turned to Enlightenment ideas to reinvent Spain’s role in the European balance of power. And while international law grew to provide a legal framework that could safeguard peace, Spanish officials, diplomats, and authors, hardened by the failure of Spanish diplomacy, sought instead to regulate international relations by drawing on investment, profit, and self-interest. The book shows, on the basis of new archival research, that the Diplomatic Enlightenment sought to turn the Spanish Empire into a space for closer political cooperation with other European and non-European states and empires.
