Front Towards Enemy is a deconstructed photobook showcasing the distinctly different ways award-winning photographer Louie Palu documented the war in Afghanistan over the course of five years. The power of Palu's images extend beyond one specific conflict to make a statement about the chaos of war and the ways media influences our perception of armed conflicts. Cardboard slipcase with four components: accordion fold image set, soldier portrait cards, newsprint publication, and staple-bound zine. The entire publication can also exist as a pop-up exhibition.

Mirrors of Stone delves into the many ethnic cultures that thrived in the mining areas of Northern Ontario from the 1920s to the 1960s. The stormy history of hardrock mining camps has never fit into the comfortable cliches by which Canada tells its story. Angus unearths the dark sides of this history-the wild tales of bootleggers, mobsters, and prostitution rings' and in so doing opens up new ways of seeing Ontario's history and culture. This is Angus' third work on the economic and cultural history of Northern Ontario, and the second collaboration between Angus and Louie Palu. We Lived a Life and Then Some (BTL, 1996) tells the marvelous story of Cobalt, Ontario, and Industrial Cathedrals of the North (BTL, 1999) portrays in images and words the ghostly mining structures now largely abandoned in the north.

The World from My Front Porch
An album featuring the best of 20 years of award-winning Magnum member Larry Towell's photographs of family life in rural Ontario. Towell's idyllic and beautiful photo-essay is accompanied by an extensive autobiographical text illustrated with over 160 photographs, objects and songs chosen by Towell. These are presented in an extended introduction and afterword to the book, exploring the history of his front porch (Larry's house was built by the man who first carved Ontario into farm units) and his journeys from the security of his home and family into the war zones of the world. Between them, the photo essay and the accompanying materials, The World From My Front Porch makes a poetic and moving statement about land and belonging, the central theme of Towell's work. The book is dramatically designed in the manner of an Edwardian album, and accompanies a retrospective touring exhibition.
