Das ist Kunst: Das Grösste sagen, dass es einfach klingt. Peter Buser kann die Urzeit so an der Leine führen, dass sie die Zukunft umarmt. Ich gebe zu: Ich bin bezaubert von diesem Dichter ohne Vorbild und ohne seinesgleichen. Sein Ton ist eine Herausforderung für jeden Leser. «Das darf doch nicht sein», denkt man zuerst, wie er die Urzeit mit der Zukunft verschwistert. Allmählich merkt man: Dieser Reichtum ist Schwermut. Und man ist gefangen, weil einer seine Gefühle so preisgibt, ohne daran zu denken, wie der Leser leben soll mit dieser Dichtung, die sich nicht scheut, seine Verse zur Universalgeschichte werden zu lassen. Ich habe es nicht für möglich gehalten, dass so viel riskiert werden kann. Und Peter Buser schafft es. Alle Jahrhunderte bringt er zum Klingen, dass sie wirken wie Gegenwart. Und er bindet die Wörter zum Strauss, aus seinen Händen wachsen, statt Blumen, Elegien. Soll die Trauer tanzen lernen bei ihm? Er spielt, bis er, was er spielt, glaubt.
